My guess by looking at the unit itself is that the radio currently in my car wasn't the original one fitted as there seems to be some slightly damaged edges to the unit

Ok so from some searching it seems that Fiesta had 3 different configurations: No Bluetooth, Bluetooth for calls, Bluetooth for calls and audio. You may only have the calls one or it might not be activated. It does seem that the option is within the AUX button if you have it. When I plug my my USB phone charger in it, the light on the charger comes on (to indicate it is being powered), but it fails to charge my phone. I tried using the same charger in other cars and it works 7WADXZK.
